Discovered a new tool from Google Code - Google Hack. I try things out so I immediately downloaded it.
They offer cross platform codes and also a portable version. I like portable softwares. The future is portable :).
It is "for educational purpose only" so let's see what it does. First of all, one annoying thing is, you have to actually click search instead of press enter to search.
Search of partial differential equations lecture notes and partial differential equations yielded almost nothing.
And it used my open IE window which I was using to edit a blog post...
So, it's really that educational. What about illegal stuff? I searched Avril Lavigne without MP3 checked which didn't yield too much useful stuff but Avril Lavigne with MP3 and wma gives you quite a few good links to downloadable music directories.
The torrent search is pretty standard but a search of Windows XP didn't yell as many interesting things as this.
Conclusion: It seems this does look like a summer project, but if you really want to download MP3s, it parses your search better than you can do with Google I bet :) .
Wonder: Demonoid.com, the famous torrent site was closed but why is the piratebay surviving?
